Backpack for Kids  [ details ]

Chi Am members fill backpacks and distribute them to school children in need at the beginning of every school year.

These schools are chosen because they are located in underserved areas. Most of the selected school's students are from families that qualify for some kind of assistance. Most of them are eligible for free or subsidized school lunch programs and are considered low income.
