2018 Chi Am Scholarship Application is Going Merry!
The deadline for the 2018 Chi Am Circle Scholarship program was March 9, 2018. We are no longer accepting applications. Please note this year's applicants were very competitive with top students applying from 40 high schools throughout the county. The average unweighted GPA was 3.90. Applicants will be notified by mid-to-late April whether they have been awarded a scholarship or not. All awardees must attend the annual scholarship dinner to receive their award. The dinner will be held Thursday, May 17, 5:30 to 9 PM at China Stix restaurant at 2110 El Camino Real, Santa Clara, CA 95050. Awardees are guests of Chi Am Circle. Thank you for your interest.
For Future Applicants The Chi Am scholarship application is made available in January each year. Chi Am scholarship awards range in value from $1,000-$5,000. Scholarship recipients are selected based upon on a variety of factors including academic achievement, community service, financial need, and noteworthy extracurricular activities such as work, performing arts, and athletics. Chi Am members will be filling backpacks and distributing them to school children in need.

Chi Am members and selected local organizations combine efforts on giving/serving communities in need. Some community projects we are involved in include co-sponsoring Chinese New Year Celebration with Hakone Gardens, Relay for Live with Amerian Cancer Society, Friends of Children with Special Needs, LifeMoves, CHCP Summer Festivals, Fund raising for other worth noting non-profit organizations are some of the examples.

This committee collects and distributes lightly used SAT, SAT II and AP test prep books for the Santa Clara County high schools that have difficulty affording these books.
