Interested to know more about Chinese New Year, the importance, the customs, and some folklore? In an interactive session, Chi Am member Gloria Hom will discuss Chinese New Year. We will share some of our favorite memories of the Spring Festival in Chinatown and abroad.
New Chi Am Board organizes a bountiful buffet of delectable dishes and tea served in beautiful tea sets, followed by introductions, and 2022 planned events.
The Filoli Spring Outdoor event allow us to stroll and socialize amongst beautiful gardens. It is followed by lunch at their on site restaurant.

This is our premier event where all of Chi Am Circle’s fundraising efforts come to fruition to provide scholarships from Chi Am, individual club members, and the community for deserving and needy high school students of Asian descent. Students are selected for scholarships based on a rigorous criteria and essays reviewed by the Selection Committee.
Pop-up Event. Dr. Gloria Hom will share the remarkable life story of her grandfather, Thomas Foon Chew, who was a very successful Chinese-American businessman during the early 20th Century, in the Chinese Exclusion Act period in California.
Chi Am members invite friends & family to join fun golf tournament fundraiser.
Tour of the Chinese American Historical Museum in San Jose. After our tour of the Museum, we will walk over to visit the Vietnamese Museum. We will conclude with a social hour and a light lunch at the picnic tables.
Annual community service outreach event. The committee will purchase, assemble, and fill 40 school backpacks with classroom supplies which will then be donated to students in a currently underserved school.
A New Chi Am Mid-Autumn themed "Taste and Tell" Social Event! It will be a free membership outreach social event. Bring your favorite dish to share & invite your friends!
Join the Chi Am Relay For Life Team.
Each team member suggests her own personal fundraising target to go towards the American Cancer Society. Besides fundraising, we will have fun, food, and camaraderie in the process.

Let’s socialize and renew friendships again at a fun, exciting, glamorous dinner event with costume dress from around the world, travel stories, casino, photo booth, a big cash grand prize, and more.
LifeMoves offers temporary shelter for homeless families and offers
assistance with finding stable housing and helps families return to self- sufficiency. As part of Chi Am’s community outreach, attendees donate new and/or very gently used bedding to LifeMoves to share in the satisfaction of helping others while enjoying the camaraderie of your Chi Am sisters.
