Pop Up events are impromptu events offered on short notice that are initiated and led by members with the help of the hospitality team. The event must meet requirements and is publicized in the newsletter or through email notification to the entire membership. 

With the goal of fostering and building community, pop up events serve as a venue to allow members to share their knowledge, interests, or passions with other members as their schedule allows and with minimal advance planning.

Pop Up events are open to all members and also serve as an outreach tool to welcome nonmembers. Initiated in early 2021, pop up events have only been virtual, but could also be in person events as soon as public health orders allow.

Examples of virtual Pop Up events during the first half of 2022 included:

FEB 20, 2022: CHINESE NEW YEAR MEET AND GREET 

APRIL 9, 2022: CHIAM NEW MEMBERS MEET AND GREET AT ELIZABETH GAMBLE GARDEN (Encore of Event on: June 11, 2022) 

MAY 22, 2022: CELEBRATE ASIAN AMERICAN HERITAGE MONTH WITH DR. GLORIA HOM
